Our Wines

Planted in the early nineties, Marsden Winery's 10 acres of vineyards comprise Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Muscat, Merlot, Pinotage, Chambourcin, Syrah and Tempranillo.

Approximately 35 other smaller vineyards and growers in the area have their wine made here by Marsden Winery. The restaurant opened in 1996, showcasing their first harvest.

Many are award winners, reflecting the philosophy that the winemaking is carried out in the vineyard and that the process should encourage the natural flavours of the grape. The annual production is around 5,000 cases, 90% of wine sales are through our cellar door and restaurant.

All the grapes for the following wines are grown on site with the exception of the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The Northland soils and climate, coupled with the extended growing season produce wines with distinct regional flavours.
